Located in the basement of a private residence, this wine cellar was designed to house a personal collection in a calm, well-ordered space that balances storage with visual interest. The client approached Sorrells to create a cellar that was practical in layout, timeless in tone, and carefully integrated into the character of the property.

The result is a cellar that goes beyond storage, a private retreat that reflects both collection and personality.

This White American Oak Wine Cellar, epitomises the perfect marriage between functionality and aesthetics, creating an unforgettable space that oenophiles and design enthusiasts alike can appreciate. The space is light thanks to the natural wood and soft lighting, making an airy space in what was a dark basement cellar.

The choice of White American Oak as the primary material ensures a harmonious blend with the surrounding architecture while evoking an air of timeless charm. The distinctive grain patterns of the oak add a layer of character, complimenting the clay tile floor and creating a visually captivating experience for anyone who steps foot into the cellar.
