This project was commissioned to transform a narrow, arched basement into a fully functional, long-term wine storage space. The brief called for a solution that would work with the existing architectural features while delivering controlled conditions for a growing collection of fine wine.
Sorrells installed a discreet temperature control system to maintain consistent cellar conditions. The joinery, crafted in solid oak, was custom-built to follow the uneven ceiling and original walls, creating a seamless fit that respects the building’s structure.
To suit the narrow proportions of the room, scallop racking was used in tighter sections to maximise capacity without sacrificing access. This cellar is a practical, considered space, purpose-built for performance and precision-fitted to the architecture it lives within.
